About this event

SEND October half term activity

Visit to Bramall Hall

Stockport MBC would like to offer support with October half term activities for families who have children with additional SEND needs and low income families.

We realise that the last few months have been really hard for SEND families and those who may not have as much money.

We have therefore allocated time slots for visiting Bramall Hall, that are free of charge to families who are eligible for free school meals or may have a child with special educational needs or disabilities. Please note that every member of your family will need a ticket to gain entry (max 6 people per time slot).

These timed slots will need to be booked in advance to ensure Covid-19 social distancing measures are in place.

The timed slots will be dedicated to ensure they are quieter for SEND families. The visits will be available during the October half term,( 24th October - 1st November). They will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

More about the museum:

Bramall Hall is one of England's most striking black and white timber-framed buildings. Set in 70 acres of parkland, this magnificent house has witnessed seven centuries of colourful history from Medieval beginnings to present day.

Pay us a visit and take and learn all about the history of this wonderful house.

During the summer of 2020 we offer a fun creature spotting quiz for younger visitor

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we have put new measures in place in order to meet the new government guidance on social distancing and hygiene.

Some of the changes that we have put in place include:

  • We are asking visitors to book advance timed tickets online to visit Bramall Hall in order to adhere to track and trace requirements. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL VISITORS WILL NEED A TICKET INCLUDING CHILDREN. If there are visitors in your party without a ticket we are unable to guarantee your entry.
  • A maximum of six people in order to ensure that social distancing is possible at all times around the museum.
  • All visitors are required to supply and wear a face covering inside the Bramall Hall at all times unless they have a legitimate reason for not doing so, such as a health condition that makes it difficult to wear a face covering. Young children under the age of 11 years old are exempt.
  • There are hand sanitising stations upon entering and exiting the museum and there are additional hand washing facilities in the bathrooms.
  • We have introduced additional cleaning protocols.
